The tuba player Frode Amundsen studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and recieved a Performance Diploma in the year 2000. He has worked with many of Scandinavia's symphony orchestras, and has held the position of Principal Tuba of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra since 2006. Frode Amundsen often works as a conductor, adjudicator, soloist and chamber musician in and outside of Scandinavia. His musical roots are from the brass band movement in the west of Norway. Frode has conducted Oslo Brass Band since 2007, and starts a three year contract as MD in August 2010.
